101 Goals in 1001 Days


So much I want to do, and so 'le sigh', let's do this.

Crafts
  1. Complete 10 sewing projects 
  2. Learn to crochet
  3. Knit something other than a hat or scarf
  4. Create something out of wood
  5. Do an art project with spray paint
  6. Make a pair of earrings
  7. Repurpose an article of clothing
  8. Learn how to properly sew a button on clothing
  9. Have a craft day with a friend at least twice (1)
  10. Write an online tutorial
  11. Sell something online
  12. Come up with art project that involves all my old lift tickets (I'm so sentimental) 
Connecting

  1. Mail out 20 birthday/thank you/just because cards (20+ completed)
  2. Hang out alone with Amy atleast 30 times (15 completed)
  3. Take Amy on her first Metra ride
  4. Visit friends in North Dakota
  5. Visit Maggie and Dianne in LA
  6. Visit Millie in Ohio
  7. Visit Kelli and Chris in Winnebago
  8. Visit friends in Galena
  9. Personally call 5 friends from high school
  10. Message 15 friends from the past that I haven't spoken to in a while (9 completed)
  11. Volunteer 50 hours (50+ hours)
  12. Take Zoe on walk with other pet owners and their dogs at least twice
  13. Cook a vegan meal for Al and Walker
  14. Go a week not using my cell phone for calls, texts or internet unless alone
  15. Plan a surprise birthday party
Getting Fit
  1. Lose 20 pounds 
  2. Run a 5k (Santa Hustle December 2012 + many more)
  3. Run a 10k (Illinois Marathon 10k, April 2013)
  4. Run a Half Marathon (Chicago Half Marathon, Sept 2014)
  5. Go on atleast 3 bike rides (doesn't sound like much but I NEVER ride my bike) 
  6. Go to a modern dance class (does swing dancing count?  I say 'yes')
  7. Workout on my bosu ball at least 10 times
  8. Cut out fast food and eating out for a month (I thought this goal was just to cut out fast food.  Finished the month and realized it was also for eating out.  But, listen, a month without fast food is good enough for me.)
  9. Go a month without any naps
  10. Sign up for the Chiditarod
Making Music
  1. Restring Mom's Banjo
  2. Learn 5 basic songs on the banjo
  3. Write a song.
  4. Record it.
  5. Learn how to play a song on the harmonica
  6. Take mom's ukele into the shop
In the Kitchen

  1. Try brewing beer
  2. Cook or bake 50 things I've never made (35 completed)
  3. Bake a cake (Spencer's 29th Bday Cake)
  4. Try making bread
  5. Bake a pie from scratch
  6. Cook something on the grill
  7. Try composting
Just Because

  1. Go camping
  2. Go to an amusement park
  3. Snowboard atleast 3 times
  4. Spend a full day at the beach
  5. Unpack mom and grandma memento's and start using them
  6. Visit another country
  7. Go to a trampoline center
  8. Go to a swanky Chicago bar and wear heals
  9. Try surfing
  10. Plant a garden and keep it alive
  11. Bungee jump
  12. Makeout somewhere inappropriate
  13. Drive out of the city and go on a hike (hiked at Valley of Fire State Park during Vegas trip)
  14. Go on a picnic
  15. Get a facial
  16. Start recycling regularly 
  17. Foster an animal
  18. Choreograph a dance to my favorite song for my own personal pleasure
  19. See a comedy show
  20. Go to a music festival that involves camping
  21. Join an attempt to break a world record (most people doing Zumba at once!)
  22. Learn how to french braid properly
  23. Go to five different museums (Have gone to Chicago History, Lincoln Presidential, Kurt Vonnegut Museum, Pres. Benjamin Harrison Home and Museum, Ind. Motor Speedway Museum)
  24. Visit the UP
  25. Visit the northwest
  26. Visit a nude beach or other place where skin is in
  27. Only wear skirts or dresses for a week
  28. Acquire a new vaccuum
  29. Swim like a kid atleast twice 
  30. Get Scuba certified
  31. Backpack somewhere abroad.
  32. Skip buying coffee and make my own every morning for a month. (Technically, Spencer made most of the coffee)
  33. Enter a contest (dog costume contest totally counts)
  34. See 'Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me' Live
  35. Tour a brewery (Half Acre Brewery)
  36. Go sledding
  37. Jump off a high dive (10 feet will suffice)
  38. Figure out what to do with all my old CD's/resell them/art project/keep some, but clear them out
Reading, Writing, and Getting Stuff Done

  1. GET A JOB
  2. Blog 150 times (Breaks down to just over once a week) (43 down)
  3. Transfer family VHS'S to DVD
  4. Read People's History of the United States
  5. Write the first 10 pages of a book
  6. Read a book on Chicago's history
  7. Write a poem
  8. Read at least 30 books (21 down)
  9. Learn a new computer skill on my own time to put on my resume (I mastered WordPress in an hour.  A requirement for most web jobs)
  10. Relearn world geography. (rememorizing 20 country locations I didn't already have pinpointed works for me)
  11. Learn about investing (read book from Kathy)
  12. Finish 'Life is a Verb' book mom gave me
  13. Give freelance writing a try.
